Farming has been a lifelong passion as it was for my father and grandfather. Born and raised in Naches Heights I have been involved in agriculture for 45 years growing tree fruits and 20 years ago adding wine grapes to our resume. My vineyard management company is currently farming 177 acres of wine grapes in 3 different AVAs in Washington. Three of the vineyards are LIVE certified, and 3 vineyards are WSDA certified organic. I am growing 31 different varieties of wine grapes and last year sold to wineries in Oregon and Washington. Our Naches Heights Vineyard and winery is celebrating our 21st year growing grapes and our 17th vintage of making wines in Washington. Through years of observation and personal experience it has been my intention to find ways to maximize our understanding of soil microorganisms and plants but most importantly provide a healthy environment to all to thrive in. I have been in the LIVE program in Washington well over a decade and have been the benefactor of the LIVE program which has opened new markets for our grape and wine sales here in Washington as well as outside the state.
