We have added a new HUB in McMinnville! Thanks to Jackson Family Wines for offering their McMinnville airport facility as a collection point. We would like to increase participation in our recycling program and hope that this will help. Please share this information with your winery colleagues who may not be participating.
Note that our recycling partner, Agri-Plas, Inc., continues to operate in a challenging recycling market. In order to continue accepting material from the HUBS (and wineries in general), we need need your help in adequately sorting the plastics which you drop off. Please find details below.
Recycle #4 plastics from your winery
Low-density polyethylene (#4 plastic) can show up in the winery as pallet wrap, sheet plastic (on pallets of glass, for example), bubble wrap, some shipping air cushions, cork bags, and more. Please note that "crinkly" plastic is not recyclable, and colored plastic is not accepted.
LIVE wineries are offering this recycling option for all Willamette Valley wineries (regardless of LIVE status) that do not have a convenient solution for these plastics. To facilitate greater recycling rates, the wineries below have offered to act as recycling hubs, please read the general and hub-specific guidelines that follow, and spread the word.
Please extend a BIG thanks to our hubs when availing of this service.
General Guidelines
- #4 plastic ONLY - Clean / Dry / Clear. In today's challenging recycling environment, our vendor now requires plastic to be stored indoors and not include colored/opaque plastic.
- Super-sacks required. Drop your winery’s #4 plastic in super-sacks. These are available from Agri-Plas or from the hubs below.
- Read hub-specific guidelines below. If you would like to offer your facility as a hub, let us know.
- Questions and suggestions can be directed to Kevin Green on behalf of LIVE's winery program. Email kevin@apolloni.com or call 503-914-9160.
