Each year, LIVE recognizes members who have made exceptional efforts in their vineyard or winery. In recent years, we have given out two awards to LIVE members: The LIVE Excellence in Sustainability award and the Hero of Salmon award that is awarded and chosen by our certification partner Salmon Safe.
This year, we were excited to add two additional awards to further highlight and celebrate the work our members are doing: the Leda Garside Award for Social Sustainability and the First Leaf award for first-year members making exceptional contributions. 2025 LIVE Excellence In Sustainability
This year, we proudly present the 2025 Excellence in Sustainability award to Fairsing Vineyard for their outstanding contributions to environmental stewardship and conservation.

2025 Leda Garside Award for Social Sustainability
This year we launched a new social sustainability award in Leda Garside’s name. Leda Garside, longtime leader of Oregon’s ¡Salud! Services, has been instrumental in advancing vineyard health and social sustainability by delivering vital healthcare, education, and advocacy directly to seasonal vineyard workers and their families throughout the Willamette Valley.
The inaugural award was given to Leda Garside herself. In future years we will award LIVE members who are making exceptional contributions to worker wellbeing and social sustainability.

2025 First Leaf Award
This year we are giving a new recognition that we are calling the First Leaf award. This will be given to new members that show the most initiative and achievement toward sustainability.
We were proud to present this year’s inaugural First Leaf award to Tom Aspitarte of Martha’s Vineyard of Skamania County for their exceptional first year efforts.
