Of a winemaker who uses lightweight refillable bottles for an elegant bottle of chardonnay...

      Of workers treated with dignity.

And all of this is verified by a global leader in certified sustainability with roots in the Pacific Northwest.

LIVE was founded in 1997 by a small group of visionaries in the Willamette Valley and has grown to certify the sustainable practices of over 300 vineyards and wineries in Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. Many LIVE members show off their achievement by using our certification mark on the back label of their wines.

By choosing a LIVE-certified wine or visiting a LIVE vineyard, you’re supporting local producers and contributing to real environmental impact right here at home. So next time you are in the grocery store, at a wine shop, or visiting a tasting room, spin the bottle and look for the LIVE logo.

Where to find LIVE sustainable wines

Visit a LIVE certified vineyard and/or winery

There's no better way to learn about our regional sustainable winegrowing movement than to visit a LIVE vineyard and/or winery yourself! Get out to wine country and take in vineyard views with blooming cover crops fueling healthy soils, spot sheep grazing among the vines, and take a cellar tour highlighting energy conservation strategies in the winery. If you're lucky, you may even get the chance to speak with the  winegrowers and winemakers behind each vintage.
