Here is the full biography for our one candidate for new election, Lilly Hedges of Four Diamonds Vineyard:
Lilly Hedges holds a BA in Spanish Language from Portland State University and spent four years in Chile teaching English as a Second Language, where she advanced her Spanish through daily immersion and developed a lasting appreciation for wine and viticulture. Living and working abroad shaped her understanding of how culture, language, and place intersect in agriculture.
After returning home, Lilly joined her family’s business, Four Diamonds Vineyard, where she is actively involved in vineyard operations and long-term land stewardship. She is currently completing a degree in Vineyard Management at Chemeketa Community College, deepening her technical expertise and practical knowledge.
Lilly is passionate about making the wine industry more inclusive and believes in ensuring that all vineyard stewards have access to meaningful professional development opportunities. She brings an international perspective, strong communication skills, and a commitment to equity and education to her work in the vineyard.
