Please welcome our new winery tech chair, Shaun Vrooman! And thanks to Cheney Vidrine for his service on this committee.

Shaun Vrooman - Production Winemaker at Adelsheim 
Shaun, originally from Oklahoma, ventured to Breckenridge, CO for a ski season, then darted to Nashville, TN, discovering his passion for wine at Giovanni. After, he pursued winemaking, studying at UC Davis and earning a degree from Chemeketa College. Vrooman has developed wine programs for multiple restaurants in Colorado and worked a harvest in Tasmania making small lot Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and method champenoise sparkling wines. Currently, he's an integral part of Adelsheim Vineyard's winemaking team, crafting exquisite single vineyard expressions in Oregon's Chehalem Mountains AVA.

Scholarship Funds Available

Applications are open for the Al MacDonald/LIVE Wine Studies Scholarship for Chemketa Community College's Wine Studies program. Applications for Fall 2021 enrollment is open through March 31, 2021. Please see the attached flyer for details on who is eligible and how to apply.
