Demo: Powdery Mildew Spore Trapping & Fungicide Resistance Technology

Early detection of spores is critical to successful management of a powdery mildew epidemic and reduction of sprays. Amy Peetz from Revolution Crop Consultants (www.revolution-cc.com) will present about and demonstrate this spore trapping technology. Methods use real-time quantitative PCR to tell growers the exact number of spore that were in a given spot in a vineyard over a 3-4 day period. Results are delivered to the grower within 24 hours of sample collection; giving the grower the best insight as to whether to spray. Amy will also discuss use of this technology to screen for fungicide resistance.
